The Environmental Fund provides 4.5M for a program that aims to make buildings more sustainable

The More Sustainable Buildings Support Program aims to improve the country's energy and sustainable performance, in addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Intervention in buildings is among the most effective measures that favor economic growth, which minimizes the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Besides generating more jobs, the measure will contribute to achieving carbon neutrality and improved energy efficiency, leading the country to think of a greener and more sustainable world.

The Program aligns with the concerns of the European Ecological Pact, and the action dedicated to the renovation of buildings is called Renovation Wave and aims to address energy renewal rates throughout the European Union.

In 2020, the program's allocation is 1,750,000 euros and 2,750,000 euros in 2021. See below for the share and maximum expenditure supported by the Environmental Fund for each project.
